The two engineers, Helge and Oliver, met at a German manufacturer of professional tattoo equipment, where they worked in product development. In the summer of 2021, the ideas of the ACUS brand began to develop when both wanted to design a machine with which they could fully identify. Furthermore, you can change the motor mode (brushless or brushed motor) without removing it, very easily via the software setting. The character of the machine can thus be changed at any time with two button presses in just a few seconds. The control system has been developed and programmed specifically for the engine, something that has never existed on the market before. It is much more than what is known as Responsive Mode or E-Give from other machines. The control system works completely digitally and at an enormous speed of up to 170 million calculations per second. With the OLED display you have all information at a glance and it is super easy to use. The M1 lies perfectly in the hand and with the simple and soft design you can freely choose your grip position. It weighs slightly less than comparable tattoo machines and feels significantly lighter, more agile and freer to work with. That's because the engine, with its rotating masses, sits right in the center of the far forward center of gravity. One of the most underestimated points is when it comes to the pen style of the tattoo machine. The anodized aluminum housing can be completely dismantled. This makes it possible for the first time to work absolutely cleanly and hygienically. Simply put, a great hygiene concept. The battery life of the M1 is about 5 hours with normal settings. When working with small needle modules and low frequency, the battery lasts up to approx. 11 hours.
